I have decided that Apple is the new Tomato.

I was just thinking about making cheese ravioli with an apple glaze, including sliced cooked apples and maybe walnuts.

I could make some form of apple cheese bread as well, as a pizza analogue. I'm going to put a slice of apple on my next hamburger.

Google shows plenty of results for "apple pizza". But I'm still on my own for "Apple glazed ravioli".

I don't know why I decided this. I just have a craving for apple at the moment.

And I need to get lunch.

Given how well apples go with cheese- that sounds really good.

I had an inspiration the other day that I hope to create a recipe for this weekend- mango fruit crisp with oatmeal crumb topping, There's probably a recipe out there somewhere, but I like making up my own.

Fruit glazes aren't too hard to make. With apple juice, powdered sugar and a bit of corn starch, you should be able to succeed.

If you create something wonderful- I'd love it if you'd share. I'll share, too, if the mango thing works out. (This is a big deal for me, actually, as I don't always love mango.)

Apple Pizza

there's a large pizza chain in many southern areas, including Greensboro (where I went to school) called Pieworks. (As I'm writing this, I'm thinking maybe we went there when you came down with us for my walk across the stage.) Anyway, their whole gimmick is lots of different things on pizza. They had an apple pie pizza, with apples, cheddar cheese, walnuts, cinnamon-sugar. I decided to try it after several days of not eating due to a sore throat and it was one of the best eating experience I've ever had. But then I tried it again another time and it just wasn't the same...
