Newbery Recipients. If you are looking for some good Young Adult fiction, you could do far worse than picking up an award winning title off this list. I've only read half a dozen or so myself, so there's plenty more for me to mine.

Date: 2012-05-30 02:18 am (UTC)Check out books by Diana Wynne Jones (REALLY check her out, she is ruddy marvelous, and I was horribly depressed when she died last year), Diane Duane (not as good as Jones, but that's a very, very high bar), Alan Garner (one of my early introductions to fantasy, and still one of the very, very best), and Sarah Rees Brennan. Sarah has an LJ where she posts (among other things) reviews of other Young Adult writers.
