I've been a bad journalist.
May. 1st, 2007 05:45 pmOr should that be "journal-keeper"?
Anyway, I have not been posting much.
So here we go.
Last weekend
yolen and I went to
1cmf &
onecrazymother's May Day party, and it was good. I won't bother listing everyone who was there (you know who you are), except to give thanks again to
thudthwacker for giving us a ride.
Unfortunately, Yolen seems to have caught the bug I had last week, which involves stuffy sinus and sore throat. Hope she feels better soon.
Been reading the Bartimaeus Trilogy by Jonathan Stroud; currently about 1/3 of the way through book 3, and I'll give the series a thumbs-up. It takes place in a almost-modern but magical Britain, where magicians rule, though all their power comes from summoning and controlling demons (djin, imps, etc). The titular character is a djinni, who is a humorous (unreliable?) 1st person narrator of about half the chapters (the others being third person limited omniscience). He also writes amusing footnotes.
It is almost my birthday. Still need to figure out what I want.
More later.
