It was a fun-filled weekend, even if I didn't get to do everything I had hoped and see everyone I wanted -- but that is the way of things.
yolen and I had a good time. Some of the fun things included:
Seeing Nathan Fillion (Mal), Jewel Staite (Kaylee), and Adam Baldwin (Jayne) from Firefly, and hear them hint about Serenity.
Going to Marc Singer [of Beastmaster, V, etc]'s talk.
The Masquerade. That's where I took most of my pictures. The larger than life Dr. Teeth & the Electric Mayhem costumes were amazing. I'll post photos later.
Saw Peter Davidson [Dr. Who # 5].
Played a game of Cosmic Encounter (the AH basic edition), which I won. It made me miss all those 6-player college games we used to play in the dorm kitchen. Multi-power, flares, and all that jazz.
My massaging was sadly minimal -- I managed to get a few short ones in, on Wil,
eugie, and
ashlupa, but missed pretty much everyone else. I will try harder next time.
Others people on my friends list I saw briefly include
captain_bob,
gwinna,
yakdog,
hugs,
onetrueruss and
sweetangel678. It was good to see you all, even if we didn't get much chatting done.
And I caught up briefly with
alladinsane before heading back out to the airport.
Bought: some game stuff, mostly GURPS, a couple T shirts, some DVDs, a few books (finally replaced my copy of "Annals of the Black Company", which Morgan swiped. The later books get annoying, in that no-one can seem to stay dead, but I like the first three, and they stand well on their own.)

An hour or so should do.
