So I had last week off from work, using up leftover vacation. Did I use this opportunity for growth? Hardly. Things I accomplished: got my pcHDTV card running. Bought a new camera. Renewed my driver's license. Watched Once Upon a Time in Mexico (ok), Nine Queens (good), Season 4 of B5 (3 eps), Firefly (1 ep w/commentary). Read 260 pages of Lamb, and 40 of Getting to Know Panama (in prep for a trip). Socialized with friends on Thursday and Friday night. Finished a first pass through Soul Calibur 2.
I should have accomplished a better cleaning of the apartment. I should have processed January's dance photos. I should have organized my bills, done my taxes, exercised, et cetera. Instead, everything I did was entertainment or survival. I didn't get ahead on anything.
And here I am, on a lazy Sunday afternoon, complaining about my lack of effort, instead of doing something about it. If only self discipline and motivation were available in liquid form.
