Time to go to the optometrist.
Feb. 9th, 2004 10:17 pmSitting here, reading LJ, I reach up to adjust my glasses, and the right lens falls out.
I pict the lens up off the floor, take of the glasses to re-insert, only to find that they've broken at the weld, near the center.
Find my old backpack, where I have my old set of [dorky plastic] glasses. Open the pocket they are in only to find they, too, are missing a lens. The left. In fact, they are cracked in a similar fashion to the metal pair, on the opposite side. Most likely I broke them in the bag in my regular backpack abuse.
Thankfully, the plastic ones are easier to get to hold together while broken, so I can see once more, if a little less clearly.
But I think I know where I'm headed on my lunch hour tomorrow.
