Netflix watching

Just finished Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norrell this week. Enjoyed it, though I thought the ending was a bit weak.

Started on Dark Matter tonight, which so far (just the first ep) strikes me as someone's RPG campaign in TV form.

I think I watched a couple of episodes of Dark Matter. I think I may get back to it at some point; I didn't think it was amazing, but I thought it was pretty good and had some room to improve. And yes, now that you mention it, it really does feel like someone's campaign.

"You all wake up on a spaceship during an emergency. You have no memory of who you are."

(Well, done more dramatic than that.)

GM: "Player 1, you wake up in pod. Alarms are blaring."

1: "I get out. Where am I?"

GM: "In a corridor, probably on board a spaceship. A voice says 'life support at 15%'"

1: "I run looking for the bridge."

GM: "Ok, Player 2. You wake up in a pod. Alarms are blaring. A voice says 'life support at 14%"

2: "I head toward the bridge."

GM: "1, you are at the controls"

1: "I try and fix life support. Does anything look familiar?"

GM: "No, you have no idea what to do."

1: "I press buttons at random"

GM: "2, you get to the bridge. There's some strange man flailing wildly at the controls. It's obvious he has no idea what he's doing."

2: "I kick him out of the way."

It really would make a pretty great game, when you put it like that.
